The Artist;

Well... briefly... I was born and raised in Tauranga NZ, moved to Wellington, then Whakatane, and am now based in Perth, Australia...I started painting again while living in Wellington and studying for a bachelor of arts, double majoring in Art History and Classical Studies at Victoria University...Suddenly rediscovered my passion for art and began my fun filled journey of experimentation and discovery...in the world of painting and multi media...

The Artwork;

"...my work is not all (but there is some) doom and gloom or philosophical insights and deep, meaningful poetry. you see, i am a person who is for the most part in a good mood and i like to see others smile too. although i have seen a lot of darkness in my life, not as much as some, but my fair share, i have been lucky enough to learn how to appreciate that which is not so dark, the little things and how to make those little things add up into a pretty good day and not such a bad life. so [a lot of] my work is aimed at those little moments when even though your day might be really really crap, you see something that makes you smile or giggle or lifts you up because you relate to it or it makes you think; and suddenly things aren't quite as bad as they were, or your good day is even better coz you've seen something that you like. if i was going to get all meaningful about it, you could say that i want to water that little buried seed of happiness so that it might grow and pierce the dark clouds that may be dampening the soul of the passer-by, so that maybe, just maybe, one day, they can shake off their fear and be a person who is comfortable with themselves and with being happier and showing that happiness and allowing their confidence, laughter and smile to water another darkened passer-by's garden untill there is a forest of wet smiling trees that bask in the sun that is.... ok starting to sound a little too cuba street now tehe but you get the idea... right...?..."

15th-16th April 2006 - Montana National Jazz Festival Art Exhibition, Jazz Art Fusion Gallery.

Q: Which places your works have ended up in?

 A: I have many works throughout New Zealand and also in London, Ireland, Japan, Minneapolis, Chicago, Kansas City, and the Cayman Islands... and possibly L.A. 

Q: Are you related to composer Jack Body?

A: Yes. It's not exactly a close relation but hey at least there's some good gene pool-age goin' on there huh. www.jackbody.com

Q: Where do your ideas come from?

A: If I knew that I would be much much richer *winks* and maybe a bit saner too.
